Flood insurance is crucial in protecting your home during hurricane season.

WTOC spoke with State Farm agent Mike Holland who said you can't add flood coverage during a named storm, but, as soon as the storm passes, you can update your policy.

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - The American Red Cross invites the community to attend a free new volunteer orientation as the organization prepares for 2013 Atlantic hurricane season, which begins June 1st and ends November 30th.
