Motorists may see pump prices move a little higher this week after the cost of a barrel of oil increased on positive employment data, according to AAA The Auto Club Group.

AAA: Gas prices jump quicker than expected

TAMPA (WTOC) - Both oil and gas prices are increasing and expected to keep moving higher throughout the month, according to AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report.

Some areas have already seen gas prices jump 5 to 15 cents per gallon.

Bluffton Parkway construction to begin this fall

BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) - Six contractors are fighting for the $31 million contract to build the flyover bridge in the Lowcountry, according to the Island Packet.

The new Bluffton Parkway bridge will connect to US 278. Construction is set to begin this fall.

The bridges would start at Bluffton Parkway's intersection with Buckingham Plantation Drive and extend over the marsh between the gatherings and Buckingham Landing.

Ramps would tie in to either side of the fording island road extension to the foot of the Karl S. Bowers bridge onto Hilton Head Island.
