Yacht owner wants to open floating hotel | News
BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC)- A new floating hotel could be coming to Beaufort.
The owner of the Charlestonian is in the process of obtaining a business license to allow guests to rent out overnight rooms on the 93 foot yacht.
In order to do that, city council would have to modify the zoning in the area known as a Conservation Preservation District.
The city's planning commission and redevelopment commission are continuing to research the idea. It will then go to city council for a vote.
The Charlestonian yacht is now currently at the downtown marina in Beaufort.
