Mossy Oaks home burglaries continue | News

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC)- Beaufort
police are warning Mossy Oaks residents to report any suspicious activity in
the neighborhood.

Police
said daytime residential burglaries continue to occur in the Mossy Oaks area
and areas surrounding North Street.

They
warn that daytime burglars typically ring the doorbell to see if anyone is home
and then if someone answers, they ask for directions. Police
said if this happens, homeowners should get the person's physical description,
clothing and direction of travel. They also urge residents to get the
description of any vehicles that may be associated with unexpected visitors.

They
recommend that residents report any suspicious activity by calling the non-emergency number at 843.524.2777.
