Beaufort High School to host stadium clean-up
News

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC)- Student athletes, parents, and community volunteers are teaming up to help clean Beaufort High School's recently re-sodded stadium complex.

The community clean-up begins at 8 a.m. on Aug. 11 and will include spreading of new mulch, tree maintenance, re-painting the goal posts, and litter pick-up.

Jonolyn Ferreri, president of the school's Big Green Booster Club, says the goal of the clean-up is to make the stadium the center of community activity and to attract more people to spring sports.

"Beaufort High has strong academics and strong athletics, and we are proud to put in our hard work to help," said Ferreri.

The stadium clean-up also ties in with Football Coach Mark Clifford's motto of "One Team, One Family, One Community." The booster club plans on hosting additional work and fundraisers to be scheduled throughout the year.
