Seized computers to be put to good use | News
BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) - Computers seized in a gambling operation will be put to good use in the Lowcountry.
Five desktop computers seized last September during a criminal investigation of gambling activities at Hest Sweepstakes in Bluffton have since been awarded to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
After learning of AMIKids, a national non-profit organization for at-risk youth, and their need for more computers, the Sheriff's Office had the computers cleaned and added new operating systems for donation to the facility.
The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office will install the computers on July 20.
